Digging Deep for SSAFA

To visit the SSAFA website please click here

CarillionAmey has decided to choose SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association) as the charity it will be supporting over the next five years. SSAFA is the UK's oldest National Military charity and continues to provide lifelong support to those who are serving or have ever served in our Armed Forces in the last 130 years. Their support covers both Regulars and Reserves in the British Army, the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force and their families, including anyone who has completed National Service.

We are well on the way to reaching our target of £250,000 - here's what our staff and colleagues have been up to over the last few months.

CarillionAmey put the kettle on to raise over £5,500 for SSAFA

The Big Brew Up is a perfect excuse to relax with a cuppa and is SSAFA's most successful fundraising event. Our teams in CarillionAmey, colleagues and contractors got busy hanging bunting and baking cakes at more than twenty five military sites across the country.

At Abbey Wood, Bristol, a tea party was held each day. Across the country in our Local Customer Service Centres our teams organised parties at mother and toddler groups, coffee mornings and local community halls. Further tea parties were held at some of our main CarillionAmey offices in Scotland, RAF Wyton and our Helpdesk in Speke.

Rugby Tickets up for Grabs!

A pair of tickets to the England vs Ireland game at Twickenham were raffled off in aid of SSAFA and raised £1,150.00. The lucky winner was Peter from our Regional Prime Central contract who was delighted to have won. He attended the game with his son and was delighted to see their team (Ireland) win the game. He said "I don't often win anything and was amazed when my ticket was chosen. We had a great day out".
